The Altar Guild of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church represents active men and women who love the church and work in close association with the Rector. Taking part is a time for sharing and learning as we care for our beautiful, historic Church.

Members have the privilege of serving as “God’s Housekeepers” and should dedicate their work as a loving labour offered to God.

Tasks include dusting, polishing, flower arranging and preparing the Sanctuary for Eucharist. On special occasions – Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas – all members come together to assist in the preparation of the Church. Members also oversee the care of Eucharistic Vestments, the Eucharistic linens and the Servers’ Robes.
