Who are we? A church with a history and a future!

A historic church founded in 1829 with a cemetery dating from the late 1790s. We are an Anglican Church under the umbrella of the Anglican Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Links to various sites may be found on our home page. We use the readings of the Revised Common Lectionary for most weeks in the calendar year and use the Book of Common Prayer, the Book of Alternative Services and other contemporary liturgies for worship.

Our congregation values all our parishioners, both young and old. We strive to meet their needs, from Godly Play for children to Seniors Socials and programs in between. We all enjoy food, fun and fellowship with each other and our community.

Music is integral to our 10:30 am worship and we enjoy the talent and leadership of our Music Director Jacalyn Roy and our dedicated choir. Active participation in worship by members of the congregation is encouraged through readings, Servers, Lay Readers, Prayers of the People, greeters and choir.

We are active and caring within our greater community, partnering with other churches and community agencies for various outreach projects.

Some of the special services we enjoy annually are:

First Responders’ Service (spring); Welcome Back Sunday (Sept.); Cookies & Carols (Dec.); Remembrance Day (Nov.); Longest Night (Dec.); Mothering Sunday; Holy Week nightly services; Maundy Thursday; Good Friday; Holy Saturday Vigil;  Easter Sunday and 3 Christmas Eve Services.

There are many opportunities to volunteer, participate and worship. Drop in for a visit – you will be most welcome!
