Godly Play – Sundays during the 10:30 a.m. service.
Interactive play teaching the Biblical stories of God and Jesus Christ.

Godly Play assumes that children have some experience of the mystery of the presence of God in their lives, but that they lack the language, permission and understanding to express and enjoy that in our culture. In Godly Play, we enter in to parables, silence, sacred stories and sacred liturgy in order to discover God, ourselves, one another and the world around us.

The Godly Play environment is an “open” environment in the sense that children may make genuine choice regarding both the materials they use and the process by which they work toward shared goals. The Godly Play environment is a “boundaried” environment in the sense that children are protected and guided to make constructive choices.
A corner of the church downstairs has been set aside as the Godly Play space. The use of natural materials and child-friendly heights in furniture encourages a reverent engagement with theological materials. These shelves house hands-on materials specifically designed to resonate with children’s experience of their spirituality.
