September 21: International Coastal Cleanup Day
For over 30 years, communities have come together to remove rubbish from coastlines and waterways including ponds, lakes, and rivers. Together, volunteers remove and catalogue mountains of litter every year. You’re invited to join. To learn more, please visit the Ocean Conservancy at It will take you outdoors to your favourite beach to help clean up and preserve God’s beautiful creation.

 A Prayer for each morning

This is another day, O Lord.
I know not what it will bring forth,
But make me ready, Lord, for whatever may be.
If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely.
If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly.
If I am to lie low, help me to do so patiently.
And if I am to do nothing, let me to do it gallantly.
Please make these words more than words,
And give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen.  from p.461 of the BCP of The Episcopal Church.
